Full name: Sanada Yukie.
Nicknames: 'Yu-chan' or 'Yukieko' by his family and some of the few friends he has. 'Yuki' by most. He doesn't really like nicknames all that much. He just prefers to be addressed by his full name.

Facts

Collecting glass figures has been his biggest devotion since his early childhood. Due to the fact that he was alone a majority of the time (confined to his bedroom due to illness.) His parents used to bring him glass figures to entertain him and to keep his spirits up. `Glass’ also is a huge symbol of Yukie’s entire personally. Glass looks bleak and transparent on the surface however if you hold it up to the light it can become any color you want it to. Yukie is like that. Shy, quiet, hidden and transparent on the surface--but beneath him lurks a veil of color that slowly surfaces from time to time.
Now fourteen, Yukie owns a Glass Menagerie which he treasures above everything else. His collection is mainly of unicorns, snowflakes, and other mystical animals. Yukie spends hours daily polishing each and every figure to perfection, and re-arranging them just for the night.

Yukie has an extreme fear of being in social situations. He doesn't like large crowds nor does he like speaking openly to people. He stutters, blushes, stumbles away, and will usually never look you in the eye. Yukie is extremely shy and very self-conscious, and is quick to find something wrong with him that he firmly thinks will make people dislike him.

Born fragile, but with an extremely strong spirit.. Yukie is prone to getting ill a lot. He was ill a lot of his childhood and missed out on elementary school. Given up at birth due to his various medical conditions, Yukie often feels at times that he doesn't belong anywhere. When he was young, his older brother would repeatedly subject him to cruelty (verbally, physically.) Later on, barely trusting of Tatsuya, Yukie often times will feel alone.

He has a very shaky relationship with Sanada Genichirou, who seems to indirectly resent the strain he puts on their family (which causes Yukie to become even more quiet in personality..)
